“Launching products is chaos”

Why product launches fail when control doesn’t keep up with creativity

NPD is where good intentions go to die 😅

Because it involves technical, NPD, procurement, QA, operations, packaging, marketing, and customers.

Auditors don’t “audit creativity”- they audit control.

This comes up in:

· Retailer launch readiness audits

· BRCGS / IFS audits (product development + validation expectations)

· FSSC 22000 (risk management and system integrity)

Example:

A product launches before:

  • shelf life validation is complete

  • label is signed off

  • allergen cleaning validation is confirmed

  • supplier approval is finalised

That’s how launches turn into firefighting.

Click-PLM helps by managing stage-gates, sign-offs, and readiness checks so launches are controlled, not chaotic.
